Well written with good illustrations throughout. A useful addition to the library of any historian who follows the fortunes of the Glasgow club.

Two new publications from the memorabilia range that has already created the Celtic, Hearts and Scotland in the World Cup Finals packages. 'Celtic - The Jock Stein Years' and 'Rangers - The Willie Waddell Years' are both excellent additions to any football historian's collection. The third series consists of two books: The Gers : Day-by-Day at Ibrox and The Bhoys : Day-by-Day at Celtic Park. These books have an identical structure. Recently out - Jim Craig's excellent 'A Lion Looks Back'. Not only does this book cover Craig's career as a Celtic player during the club's most successful period, it also traces Celtic's history from the club's inception until Lisbon 1967. Although this might be described as simply yet another Celtic history, this book offers much more. A tactical analysis of Celtic teams during different eras is a unique inclusion as well as many photographs that have not been seen before. The book has been particularly well researched and written in a style that is both informative and authoritative.
