Schedule of Activities

This module takes place over 12 weeks. It is structured around one introductory activity and five learning tasks. Each task has a deadline for completion.

Getting Started: You will introduce yourself to other course participants and look at materials on formative assessment located on the WWW

Task 1: Reading some literature on formative assessment, identifying key issues and identifying some questions worth asking..

Task 2: Answering others' questions using the research literature.

Task 3: Summarising and identifying contradictions in literature and discussions.

Task 4: Evaluating the advantages of self and peer feedback and examining ways of increasing active participation of learners in feedback processes.

Task 5: Identify an area of feedback in your own/departments teaching practice and make recommendations for improvements.
